Sub-project 06

Objective: assess the quality of the multilingual subtitles and LSF modules.

The validation of ROSETTA’s multilingual subtitling and LSF modules will be adapted to the users’ concerns:

• the degree of usefulness and usability for specific needs;
• the extent to which the user is able to access the content (how the information was interpreted and understood);
• measuring user satisfaction (quantified on a scale) by taking into consideration the different dimensions of ROSETTA usages and the different types of content;
• comparing with a human interpreter for foreign and sign languages.

The LUTIN Userlab/EPHE academic laboratory is the partner in charge of the 6^th sub-project. They have set up a protocol, which consists in assessing the contribution of the new technologies compared to the existing ones.

The 6^th module aims to measure the users’ satisfaction, using a human interpreter in French sign language as well as ROSETTA’s final product:

• Regarding various types of content, the number of misunderstandings;
• Regarding time spent and online avatar generation.
