A. Introduction

The terms and conditions of use of the site define the terms and conditions of use of the different services and categories of the website: rosettaccess.fr. The access and/or use of https://www.rosettaccess.fr implies compliance with and acceptance, without reservation, of all the terms of the following conditions. The terms of use thus establish a contract between the owners of this website and the user.

If the user does not wish to accept all or part of these terms of use, it is requested that the ROSETTAccess site and/or its services not be used. 

B. Legal notices

1 – Host

The website  https://www.rosettaccess.fr is hosted by: SYSTRAN S.A.S, at 5, Rue Feydeau, 75002 Paris. 

2 – Creation & management

The creation, editing and management of the rosettaccess.fr website is the responsibility of the partners of the collaborative project: ROSETTA. The responsibilities are as follows: 

  • Responsable for publishing : LISN and Holken Consultants & Partners, 
  • Webmaster and site management: Nada El Haouaji and Youssra Gouram (Holken Consultants and Partners), 
  • Coordination of the ROSETTA project: Elise Michon (SYSTRAN), 
  • Technical infrastructure of the site: Gaël Perron (SYSTRAN) 
  • Owners: the consortium of the collaborative project ROSETTA, set up below by the partners and the funders, positions itself as the owner of the website and its content: 

3 – Access to the service of the rosettaccess.fr website

The website is free for all users with Internet access. The owners use all available means to ensure quality access to the site. Owners cannot be held responsible for any malfunction of the network, servers, or any other event that is beyond technical control and would prevent or degrade access to the services of the site. 

The owners also reserve the right to interrumpt and/or suspend access to all or part of the services; and for whatever reason, they would consider reasonable. The interruption may not be subject to legal and/or compensation proceedings. 

4 – Description of all provided services

The rosettaccess.fr website aims to provide information on all the activities of the project. 

The partners of the ROSETTA project strive to provide information that is as accurate as possible. However, they will not be held responsible for omissions, inaccuracies and deficiencies in the update, whether due to them or third party partners who provide them with this information. 

All the information provided on the rosettaccess.fr website is given for information purposes only and is subject to change. Furthermore, the information provided on the rosettaccess.fr website is not exhaustive. They are subject to changes made since they were posted online. 

5 – Personal data

In France, personal data is protected in particular by Law No. 78-87 of January 6th 1978, Law No. 2004-801 of August 6th 2004, Article L. 226-13 of the Criminal Code and the European Directive of October 24th 1995. 

The laws cited are related to computers, files and freedoms, each Internet user has the right to oppose (Article 38 of Law 78-87 of January 6th 1978), to access (Articles 39, 41 and 42 of Law 78-87 of January 6th 1978) and to rectify (article 40 of law 78-87 of January 6th 1978) data concerning him/herself. 

In order to respect and protect the user’s personal data, the owners undertake that the collection and processing of personal information (collected by the site) is carried out in accordance with the European Data, Files and Freedoms Directive: General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), applied throughout Europe since 25 May 2018. 

n accordance with the GDPR Directive, the rosettaccess.fr website gives the user the right to object, access and rectify the specific data concerning him/herself. The user may exercise this right:  

6 – Intellectual property

The partners of ROSETTA project are the only ones to have the right to use, modify and edit the content of the website rosettaccess.fr. Therefore, they are the only ones to have the intellectual property right concerning the contents of the site, and any modification, publication, adaptation or reproduction of all or parts of the contents on the site, is prohibited, unless written authorization is obtained from the coordinator of the project, SYSTRAN.   

Any unauthorized exploitation of the site or any of its contents, will be considered essentially imitation and will be prosecuted judicially, in accordance with the Intellectual Property Law. 

7 – Discharge of responsability

Owners cannot be held liable for any direct and/or indirect damages that may arise as a result of the use of the site https://rosettaccess.fr.

Owners cannot be held responsible for any direct and/or indirect damage to the user’s equipment during access to the site. 

Interactive spaces linked to the site are made available to users via social networks. The owners reserve the right to ask the social network concerned to delete, without notice, any content placed in this space that is incompatible with the applicable legislation in France (or in Europe), in particular with regard to the protection of personal data. Where appropriate, the owners shall not be able to challenge the civil and/or criminal liability of the user, in particular in the case of signs of a racist, insulting, defamatory or pornographic nature, regardless of the medium used (text, sound, image, etc.). 

8 – Hyperlinks & Cookies

The rosettaccess.fr website contains hyperlinks from other sites and to other sites, set up with the permission of the ROSETTA project partners. However, owners cannot verify the content of each site, and therefore cannot be responsible for their content.

The use of the rosettaccess.fr website can cause cookies to be installed on users’ computers. A cookie is a small file that does not allow user identification, but that records information about navigation. The data obtained are intended to facilitate subsequent navigation on the site, but also to allow various traffic measures. 

Refusing to use a cookie may result in the inability to access certain services. However, the user can configure his computer as follows, to refuse or block the installation of cookies. 

9 – Applicable law & jurisdiction

These conditions of use are in all respects interpreted in accordance with French laws. In case of dispute with a user, the owners shall assign exclusive jurisdiction to the competent French courts (or European courts in case of necessity).
